The Bottom Line: A good place to enjoy pizza, Italian-American dishes, in a fun atmosphere, without being too expensive. A dependable place for pizza, lots of selections, and flexible options for all. The Good: fast, prompt service with lots of choices, special selections, and substitutions. There really is something for everyone. The Bad: not horrible, but the quality is sometimes worse than other pizza restaurants. Also, if you aren't prepped to have a ton of cheese, it'll be quite a shock.

A local/San Diego family owned chain that serves Italian food, but we always get the pizza. The pepperoni& sausage is our go to, but this is no ordinary pizza. The cheese is the topping, but what lies underneath is about a 1/4" of layered pepperoni. The cheese is thick & incredibly fresh & delicious & slightly toasted. Because it's so hefty, you should call it in before ordering as it can take about 30mins to make & bake. It's priced fairly for a handmade pizza with incredible quality & quantity of ingredients, but made with love.

Arrived on a Saturday night. Our party of six was seated quickly. Antipasto salad is full of meats, cheese, olives and pepperocini. Pizzas were delicious and full of cheese, veggies, sausage and pepperoni. Spaghetti and meatball was served with garlic bread. Portion was overflowing the plate. Excellent food and service.

I only went for the pizza. The pizza is thick and not floppy. It is delicious! Best pizza in town. I had pizza for breakfast the next day and lunch. We also ordered a side salad & they brought warm bread with it that was delicious too. The service was friendly. There was plenty of parking and the restaurant seemed pretty full for a Wednesday evening. It was definitely a family restaurant. Everyone was there with their family. I'm definitely going back for the PIZZA!!!

Today, me and my beautiful queen paid a visit to Filippi's Pizza Grotto in Jamul. We ordered ourselves a large pizza with just the classic cheese, and let me tell ya, the taste and aroma were straight outta the old school. I couldn't shovel that pie into my mouth fast enough. This joint is gonna be a regular haunt for us, capisce? And let me tell ya, if the wife ain't happy, forget about it! But Filippi's Pizza, they made her happy, so they get a solid 5 stars from me. Keep making me happy, and you'll have the whole mob coming your way. Fuggedaboutit! And hey, let me tell ya, they ain't just slinging pizzas over at Filippi's. They got some incredible garlic bread that'll knock your socks off. It's crispy on the outside, buttery with a kick of garlic on the inside. I'm tellin' ya, it's like a shield against those bloodsucking vampires, especially this time of year. So, if you're lookin' to keep those fanged creatures at bay while indulging in some mouthwatering Italian goodness, Filippi's Pizza is the place to be.
